Joel Ruiz
(director/co-writer)

After co-founding Arkeofilms in 2000, Joel has been working in advertising and in independent cinema. In 2005 his breakout film Mansyon (The Mansion) won many awards and was screened around the world, and since then he has been producing films non-stop.

Lakad ni Sammy is dedicated to his father, Bill Ruiz.

Tara Sering
(co-writer)

Tara Sering is one of the best writers of her generation. She is a writer and editor of books and magazines. Her book Almost Married won a National Book Award, and has written three more books and a collection of short stories. These two short films are her first screenplays.

Margie Templo
(producer)

Margie Templo is managing director of Arkeofilms and has been producing most of director Joel Ruiz’s work. She is also a director for commercials and corporate video.

Tracy Sarte
(producer)

Her zealous attention to detail made Tracy Sarte the default production head and Operations Manager of Arkeofilms. Tracy also produces and edits corporate videos and TV shows.

Jose Y. Dalisay
(original story)

Jose Dalisay is one of the country’s foremost writers, having authored more than 15 books. He has won awards for his writing here and abroad, including five National Book Awards and sixteen Palanca Awards; he was inducted into the Palanca Hall of Fame in 2000. He is currently teaching at the University of the Philippines.

Neil Daza
(director of photography)

Neil is a veteran cinematographer and is a frequent collaborator of director Chito Roño, including his films Dekada ‘70, Sukob and Laro sa Baga.

Jake Ofrasio
(production designer)

Jake is a stylist, art director and production designer for television and films.

Candy Reyes
(production designer)

Candy started as a bag designer and stylist before becoming a production designer for commercials and television shows. Lakad ni Sammy is her first independent film work.

Christina Dy
(production designer)

Christina, or CD, is a production designer for film, commercials and music video; her first production design work was for Mansyon (The Mansion). She is also an award-winning painter and visual artist, and has many exhibits under her belt. Her latest passion is pole dancing.

Mario Cornejo
(editor)

Mario is a director for commercials and films. His first film, Big Time (2005) was an independent hit and was nominated for eight Gawad-Urian awards, and won Best Screenplay at the Cinemalaya 2005.

Vince De Jesus
(music)

Vince de Jesus is a musical scorer for film and television, and is also an actor. He also wrote the music for the hit musicals Zsa Zsa Zaturnah, Skin Deep and Himala: The Musical.

Isha
(song)

Singer, composer and piano prodigy Isha is a contract artist of the UK-based independent jazz label Candid Records. Her first album, Time and Again under Candid’s local label Isla was released in 2004.
