Ang Ibang Mga Pamilya is selected as one of the finalists in the short film category of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, as announced in May by the selection committee.
Cinemalaya 2008 is the fourth edition of the successful festival, which runs July 11-20 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Finalists will be screened at the festival and will compete for awards.
Ang Ibang Mga Pamilya is director/writer Joel Ruiz’s second entry in the short film category. His first entry, Mansyon (The Mansion) won Best Short Film in 2005.
