Berlinale Co-Prod Market zooms in on “Akyat Baba, Paikot-ikot” (Up Down, Round and Round)

The Talent Project Market of the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus and Co-Production Market, awards “Akyat-Baba” as one of the three movies to make it at the Talent Highlight Pitch this year. “Akyat-Baba” is Arkeo’s project in development produced by Margie Templo and directed by Joel Ruiz.
The other two fellow Highlight Projects are NEW FAMILY by Elad Gavish, Israel and PALESTINIAN GANGSTER by Meike Martens, Germany & Azza El-Hassan, Jordan.
Out of the 10 Talent Projects, 3 have been rated by Berlinale’s international jury as “Highlights”. Each of these Highlight Projects will receive an award of €3000 for the further project development.
Margie Templo and the two other producers will get a chance to the project to the Co-Production Market audience and receive the Talent Highlight Awards!
The Talent Highlight Pitch will take place on Monday, February 9, at 12.30 pm at the Berlinale Co-Production Market in the Berlin House of Representatives.
