Arkeo Turns Seven!
By Margie Templo | April 10, 2007
Feels like we’ve been doing this forever. But in the exact same breath, I’ll say that time seems to have gone by so quickly too. We started out with little more than a stack of calling cards and truckloads of determination. And here we are, doing what we always dreamed of doing.
So how far have we come?
Of course we’re really still the same mean little production shop doing bigger and better things. But then we wonder how much (or how little) things have changed over the years.
For one thing, Joel’s hair has gone from short, to long and surprisingly wavy, to a Mohawk. And now he’s back to short hair.
I have edited a grand total of two videos in my entire career. In fairness, I’m not an editor. And never will be.
People still ask why Monster is named Monster. I don’t blame them.
Our website is obviously new. And so is this blog. Now we can keep in touch and hopefully hear what you have to say about anything and everything under the Arkeo sun.
We’re still not techies, not really. But we do love our Macs.
The video camera of choice has shifted from the VX-2000 to the DVX-1ooa. And the HVX is really just one knee-jerk away.
And we all still wonder… does film face extinction? God, I hope not.
Production still runs like clockwork thanks to our indispensable commander ants.
And our scripts and treatments have still got that bite.
Movies were made. Big Time, Mansyon, Putot. And there are still many, many more to come.
We’ve produced video and film for almost every imaginable form of media now. And we’re all set to take on whatever’s next.
We’ve grown. Our little anthill has certainly grown.
So here’s to more scripts, more shoots, more meetings with clients.
More clients, more partners, and more movie producers.
More independent films. More movies. More movies.
And more people to share them with.
Welcome! ☺
