Baby Angelo gets a couple of nods from the Manunuri

Arkeofilmsâ Cinemalaya entry last year earned 2 nominations from Gawad Urian, considered the most credible award-giving body in the country.
Archie Alemania, who plays the off-beat role of an aimless bad boy, is nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Christina Honrado, already an Urian winner for her work in Lav Diazâs âEbolusyonâ, gets another nomination for Baby Angelo for Best Production Design.
Baby Angelo, directed by Joel Ruiz, is about the relationships of the people inside the apartment complex of Genevieve Homes and how an aborted fetus affects all of them. The movie stars Jojit Lorenzo, Archie Alemania, Diana Malahay, Dante Balois, Ces Quesada, Mark Gil and Alchris Galura.
Once again, indies dominate the Urians with not a single nomination for a studio movie.
