Joel Ruiz (Writer, Director)

After co-founding Arkeofilms in 2000, Joel has been working in advertising and in independent cinema. In 2005 his breakout film Mansyon (The Mansion) won many awards and was screened around the world, and since then he has been producing films non-stop. Baby Angelo is his first full-length film.
Abigail Aquino (Writer)
Abi Aquino is a sought-after writer for advertising, magazines and film, whose first novel, Drama Queen, was a bestseller in 2002. In 2006 she wrote the beauty contest comedy Binibining K for director Erik Matti. That movie didn’t do well in the box office. Abi is currently working on her new novel with Summit Publishing. Coffee keeps her stable.
Monster Jimenez (Producer)
Monster is a managing partner at Arkeofilms and was co-writer and producer for the indie hit Big Time (2005). She is also a director and editor, and is working on her first full-length documentary Kano: The American and His Harem.
In 2005, Monster was one of the first few persons to receive the “Super” award from Philippine Daily Inquirer for “rocking the world of Indie cinema” as producer and co-writer of the cult comedy hit Big Time. The last time the awards were handed out was in 2006. DVDs of Big Time are still available in video stores.
Tracy Sarte (Producer)
Her zealous attention to detail made Tracy Sarte the default production head and Operations Manager of Arkeofilms. Tracy also produces and edits corporate videos and TV shows. Baby Angelo is her first try at producing a full-length feature.
Alma dela Peña (Director of Photography)
A profilic cinematographer for film and advertising, Alma is a Film graduate from the University of the Philippines and the Mowelfund Film Institute. Her first film work in Ellen Ongkeko’s Mga Pusang Gala (Stray Cats) (2005) was nominated for Best Cinematography at the 54th FAMAS Awards. Alma is a frequent collaborator of Joel Ruiz, beginning with the short film Mansyon (The Mansion).
Cristina Honrado (Production Designer)
Aside from working in films and advertising, Cristina also works in interior design and furniture design. She won a Gold Award for Production Design at the 2007 Ad Congress for her work on the Cinemanila Quentin Tarantino spot.
Lawrence S. Ang (Editor)
In a few short years after graduating with a degree in Communication Arts from De La Salle University in Manila, Lawrence has quickly established himself as a premiere editor of his generation. His work in Jim Libiran’s Tribu (Tribe) won a Balanghai award in 2007. He frequently works with avante-garde filmmakers such as Khavn dela Cruz and Raya Martin.
Isha Abubakar (Music)
Singer, composer and piano prodigy Isha is a contract artist of the UK-based independent jazz label Candid Records. Her first album, Time and Again under Candid’s local label Isla was released in 2004. Baby Angelo is her second full-length scoring endeavor. Isha also provided most of the songs perennially heard throughout the movie.
Corinne De San Jose (Sound Design)
Corinne worked as a sound engineer at a leading audio post-production house before she concentrated on her true passion as photographer. Mansyon (The Mansion) is her first film as sound designer. Her work for the acclaimed digital film Endo (Endo: End of Contract) earned her the award for Best Sound from the Young Critic’s Circle.
